Why does does my DVR automatically switch the channel to the channel it is set to record?
I want to watch another channel, thus I’m recording the second program, and the TV is automatically switched to the channel to be recorded. If I try to change it from the channel to be recorded, I get a message saying that changing the channel will stop the recording. I have the Dish Network.
If you have a dual tuner you need to switch it to record on channel 2. If it is a single you can watch what is being recorded or a previously recorded show.
